Ärligt talat känner jag obehag över det här. Säkert finns det folk som missbrukar systemet och är oförskämda mot den som svarar. Och säkert finns det fler än jag som inte är förtjusta i att tala i telefon.
Men i alla fall. Det är ännu ett initiativ som jag antar är gjort med gott hjärta (annars hade jag inte postat det här), och jag hoppas det leder till något gott också.

PHONE CALLS TO END THE WAR

As bombs and missiles rain down on Ukraine’s cities and towns, only personal connections can bypass Putin’s lies and deliver the truth to Russians. Vladimir Putin has lied to Russians for decades. He is lying about Ukraine now, and he has blacked out sources of truth. It is our responsibility and our duty now to talk to Russians to help end this war.

The world’s opinion does not matter to Putin. He is not afraid of sanctions, and he does not care about the actions of world leaders. Putin is afraid of only one thing – the power of the Russian people themselves. Russians are the only people who can stand up to Putin, and forty million "Call Russia" calls can help them.

ONLY THE TRUTH CAN STOP THE WAR
The Russian propaganda machine is massive and terrifying. Independent media are shut down, journalists – silenced. Foreign media and social media driven out. There is no one left to tell the truth, to show photos of destroyed hospitals, murdered children, civilians targeted and under seige.

HUMAN CONNECTION, NOT HATE
Putin speaks only the language of violence. He lies and constructs fake realities. Russians are his first victims. Russian parents do not know that their sons are being sent to die invading Ukraine. The Russian people do not know the atrocities being committed in their name. Vladimir Putin does not represent decent Russians, and we are committed to connect to them with encouragement, truth, and support for what is right.
